Forex Pairs Spreads

The two currencies that are being exchanged in a foreign exchange transaction are referred to as a forex currency pair. Currency quotes in forex trading are always given in pairs, such as EUR/USD or USD/JPY. The base currency in a currency pair is the first one, while the quote currency is the second one. For instance, the euro is the base currency and the US dollar is the quote currency in the currency pair EUR/USD.

The spread for each Forex pair is listed in the table below. The spread is what you pay when you trade forex. For instance, the spread is 5 pip if the EUR/USD bid price is 1.2000 and the ask price is 1.2005.
